“I am a 12th grader at Heritage Xperiential Learning School, India. Born in the US and brought up in traditional scaffolds of Indian heritage, life unfolded in myriad ways. I am committed to leveraging technology to address societal challenges, promote equity, and inspire innovation.
Through EkalTara, I aim to empower artisan communities, particularly women, by providing them with fair opportunities and sustainable livelihoods.”

I believe

I believe that change begins when we choose to listen, act, and create with purpose. This journey is about more than selling fabrics—it’s about weaving together hope, dignity, and opportunity for all.

I Redeem

I recollect meeting the weavers in Indore, the Exhibitions that gave me the impetus to
refurbish, regather and understand the values
of a community of forgotten worlds. Time
permits me to rewind and sketch time with
Water colors.

I Fascinate

I find inspiration in the delicate artistry of handicraft and the heartfelt exchanges with the craftsmen and women behind these creations. Sharing Ekaltara’s mission with friends and family brings me unparalleled joy, reminding me of the power of community.

I Rejuvenate

Watching TV and enjoying documentaries on collateral issues is a rhythm of unwinding. In between academics. I practice the piano. I love to play badminton and help redo mother’s network of sale planning with ideas to reach more marginal weavers.

I Twine

Mystery revolves around my ideating with our favorite lady weaver Edem who sends us beautiful weaves. Ikat is resplendent and so is rich Jamdani. Malkha is my mother’s favorite. Ladakh is exploring with us. Will revive loom from Ladakh.

I Am

My essence lies in uplifting communities—be it through supporting NGOs in literacy programs or working with weavers, fostering sustainable livelihoods.
